We’ve been working on a brilliant, shiny and somewhat colourful project: creating two gorgeous video walls in Models Own flagship store. The Models Own makeup brand has recently opened their first “boxstore” in Westfield Stratford City in London and we’ve helped to make things exciting and technologically innovative by installing ten 65″ LG screens. The screens run down both sides of the store, in two rows of five, giving visitors the feeling of being surrounded by on screen entertainment.

As colour is so clearly important for this project, LG displays were the perfect choice; each screen has a colour depth of 1.06 billion colours. Yes, that’s right, 1.06 billion. Whether they’re showcasing makeup artists working on models, highlighting new products in the range or broadcasting live demonstrations in store, we’re confident our screens will be able to colour match makeup shades and hues perfectly.

We used AOpen media players loaded with Signagelive’s cloud based software to ensure that content synchronises seamlessy across each row of screens. Not only does the content look spectacular, screens in any store are easily updated by us with just the click of a button. New content can be immediately deployed onto just one screen, all screens in one store, or across many stores as needed without staff in each individual location having to do anything.

We think that’s pretty special.

What do Models Own think of their new video walls?

We’re looking forward to working with Models Own to create many more stellar video walls, with new stores set to open in Leeds and elsewhere around Britain soon. These video walls are set to be three screens wide, instead of five, but we’re sure they’ll send digital thrills through the veins of makeup lovers everywhere.
